Fabrizio Cattaneo became interested in jazz at the age of about ten years listening to some recordings of Louis Armstrong had his father, also a fan of this music. Fascinated by the trumpet begins, about fifteen years, to attend the Louisiana Jazz Club Genoa where he received the rudiments of the self-taught trumpeter Maurice Burdese.Da began his musical career within the New Orleans Stompers of Genoa, which still forms part, devoting himself to jazz in New Orleans. Over the years he developed a style which now ranges from New Orleans to the swing style. Today he plays actively and regularly with the first mentioned New Orleans Stompers, with Jambalaya Six Vittorio Castelli and the Pegasus Brass Band Milan, as well as an integral part of Lino Patruno Jazz Show. Appears on LP and CD of the groups mentioned above and its active participation in major European jazz festivals and on the soundtrack of the film "Bix" by Pupi Avati and some transmissions televisive.In these years has had the honor to play alongside Louis Nelson, George Masso, Willcox Spiegl Scott Hamilton, Kenna Davern, Bob Wilber, Yank Lawson, Bob Haggart, Walter Payton, Jimmy Woode, Barry Martin, Freddie Kohlman, Rudy Balliu, Teddy Riley, Sutton Rulph .. . For several years is also part of Barry Martin New Orleans Reunion Band which is the famous Italian architect of Milan trombonist Luciano Invernizzi. He has worked with Romano Mussolini, Carlo Loffredo and still works occasionally with Luciano Milanese, Andrea Pozza, Dado Moroni and many others.
